New to Dorval: the addresses to know
Just arrived? Here are the municipal service points to get settled: city hall, the library, community centres and sports facilities, not to mention the commuter rail station that gets you downtown in 25 minutes.
Municipal services
City hall concentrates many everyday services, from your tax bill to various requests. The Sarto-Desnoyers community centre acts as the counter for memberships and ticketing for municipal activities. The Surrey centre houses the pool and a good share of the aquatic programs.
Library and leisure
The Dorval library is worth a membership for the whole family, with regular activities throughout the year. The municipal sports facilities — arena, pools, gyms — are listed on a single handy page. Leisure registration is done online, and spots fill up fast at the start of the season.
The train to downtown
The commuter rail station is one of Dorval's biggest assets: about twenty minutes to reach downtown Montreal, without worrying about traffic. Check the schedule before your first trip, as frequency varies with rush hour.
